An LCC’s learning journey begins with a self-paced, online course delivered through our learning management system and a small group account review conducted virtually by our training team. During this orientation, the LCC role is outlined as well as U.S. Department of State au pair program regulations.

Cultural Care conducts in-person workshops which build upon foundational training and experiences LCCs gain during their first few months in the role. On a weekly basis, all LCCs are invited to attend virtual support sessions and training talks focused on key aspects of their role.

Each year, LCCs are invited to Cultural Care’s National Meeting—an exciting, not-to-be-missed weekend in a new city where they connect with colleagues, engage with staff, and get inspired by stories from the Cultural Care community. LCCs also hear key program updates and discover new tools and resources to support their role. Recent national meetings have been held in Orlando, Chicago, and Las Vegas.
